About us
HERO is a registered NPO dedicated to working with traumatised children and their families.
The HERO team is comprised of a group of experienced multi-talented professionals and volunteers who have worked for many NPO’s in the Knysna/Plettenberg Bay Area over the past 13 years. Through their work, they recognised that many traumatised children in economically disadvantaged communities within the greater Knysna area do not receive intervention and assistance. It became apparent that working only with the children was not sufficient and that parental interventions are also necessary for optimal Healing. Programmes are therefore designed to assist children and their families towards emotional health.
